Say “NO” to Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco and Violence

1.      Minutes

A.           The minutes of the Feb. meeting were approved.

 

2.            Treasury Report

A.                      Mr. Milligan handed out a copy of the treasurer’s report. Everyone is paid up, up to this point.

B.                       Net profit from the basketball tournaments are $619.53 for the 4th and 5th, and $4784.34 for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade tournament.

C.                      We had 157 teams in the 2 tournaments that were up 12 from last year.

D.                      We made approximately $1300 higher profit from last year.

E.                      Over all CGSAA balance is about $7000 higher than last year.

 

3.       Soccer

A.     Mr. Tairks was not present for a soccer report.

 

4. Volleyball

A.     Mr. Cooper was not present to address the meeting.

5. Basketball

Mr. Hotte addressed the meeting about this years Basketball season. Everything went well. Special thanks to Alan Hightower, Gary Savely, and Danny Stith.

  

6. Track

            Mr. Kelly was present to discuss the track meet.

A.      The track meet is still set for April 26.

B.      Practice times were sent out and are on the web site.

C.      McGuiness may be holding a field events clinic. More to come on that.

D.      Must have adult Supervision for track practice.

E.      Use bungee rope for High jump.

F.       Call Mr. Kelly for any other Questions.

7. Web Site

A.     The web site address is http://members.cox.net/cgsaa/ . You can’t see it but there is a dot after cox.

B.    Save this to your favorites so you will have it.

 

8. Executive Committee

A. The Executive Committee met to discuss the situation with a parent that was out of control at one of the tournament games. We decided to table the issue until next month to see what actions the school is going to take.

9. Next Meeting

The meeting is scheduled to be held at 7:00 pm on Wed April 2, 2003 at St Charles School, 5000 N Grove.
