1.      Minutes

A.           The minutes of the March meeting were approved.

 

2.            Treasury Report

A.                      Mr. Milligan handed out a copy of the treasurer’s report. We had 157 teams in the 2 tournaments that were up 12 from last year.

B.                      All Track Fee’s need to be in. They are $150 per school or $9 per participant. Which ever is less.

C.                      Over all CGSAA balance is about $7000 higher than last year.

 

3.       Soccer

A.     Mr. Tairks was not present for a soccer report.

 

4. Volleyball

A.     Mr. Cooper was not present to address the meeting.

5. Basketball

Mr. Cowen of St. Eugenes asked about looking at some rule changes for next year. We told him that we would rather address them in Sept. and to bring them up them and we would address them then.

  

6. Track

            Mr. Kelly was present to discuss the track meet.

A.      The track meet is still set for April 26.

B.      Practice times were sent out and are on the web site.

C.      McGuiness Booster club is asking every school to have at least 2 workers work 2 hours in the concession stand for the track meet. Each Rep. should have received a schedule for work time.

D.      Must have adult Supervision for track practice.

E.      Use bungee rope for High jump.

F.       Make sure your school has the workers for the track meet.

G.      Monday April 21, McGuiness is sponsoring a track meet for Public Middle schools. They have invited all the CGSAA schools also. 6th-8th grade only.

H.      Participants can only run in one relay event.

7. Web Site

A.     The web site address is http://members.cox.net/cgsaa/ . You can’t see it but there is a dot after cox.

B.    Save this to your favorites so you will have it.

8. New Business

A. McGuiness is looking into having a wrestling program similar to the Football program for the CGSAA schools. Look for more info next year.

B. Sacred Heart of El Reno is looking into joining the CGSAA.

 

9. Executive Committee

A. The Executive Committee met to discuss the situation with a parent that was out of control at one of the tournament games. We decided that this person will be suspended from the first two regular season games, and that any further ejections from any CGSAA sponsored sports will be dealt with more severely.

10. New Officers

            Next years new officers will be, President Chuck Kilgo, Vice President Ken Roberts, Sec. Brad Segard, and Treasurer Mike Milligan.

 

10. Next Meeting

The meeting is scheduled to be held at 7:00 pm on Wed May 7, 2003 at the Brick town Brewery, at 1 North Oklahoma Ave. The corner of Sheridan and Oklahoma
